jell-ring-mold.jpg

Hello Everyone, I truly hope you had a great weekend.  It was really busy for me but I can say that I got everything I needed to do done.  A friend of mine had a pick up party and as I was putting in the orders to Tupperware I noticed that at least 3 of the orders contained the Jell-Ring Mold.  I know I have blogged about this item a few weeks ago but with the holidays coming up, I am sure these ladies are going to be entertaining.  I decided to do some research on this product and found some interesting things.  I have one but have not used it yet but I have some great ideas for it’s use.

  • The Jel-Ring Mold is one of the most versatile pieces of Tupperware ever made.
  • Yes, you can use it to make jello but you always use a tiny bit LESS cold water when making a mold of this size.
  • You can coat the inside with a tiny bit of butter and use it as a mash potato mold.
  • Fill the Jell-Ring Mold with your favorite punch or lemonade then freeze and use as a hugh floating “ice ring” in your punch bowl. It won’t dilute your punch and it will stay cold for hours.
  • Take your macaroni salad or potato salad to your potluck in the most attractive way.  Just coat the inside with a tiny bit of mayonaise and mold your salad by pressing it into the mold and allowing it to chill.
  • Enjoy ice cream with it also. Stand lady finger cookies all around the inside of the Jell-Ring Mold and Pack with ice cream.  This makes an attractive dessert.
  • Use for parties as a sandwich ring.  Begin with bread-no crust- and totally press the bread to coat the inside.  Press layers of cheese, turkey, slices of tomatoes, shredded lettuce, ham, pickles, mayo, mustard and end with enough bread slices to totally cover the layers.  Un-mold and simply slice to make individual sandwiches.
  • And just think, I was only going to use mine for a shrimp and cheese mold.  Just use your imagination-cheesecake-pudding-tuna. It’s endless.
